Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Assistant Merchandiser to join our team at Selfridges. As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will play a key role in monitoring supplier commitment, making informed decisions, and providing strategic recommendations to our team of buyers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor stock levels by store and make key recommendations to optimize full price sell-through.
  • Oversee the system for re-ordering continuity product and maintain accurate stock levels at the DC.
  • Collaborate with Retail Operations to resolve stock queries and negotiate stock actions with suppliers.
  • Analyze OTB strategies and provide recommendations on commitment and escalating issues to the lead Merchandiser.
  • Forge strong relationships with brand partners and identify opportunities for stock transfer and allocation.
  • Provide weekly, seasonal, and ad-hoc reports to support business decisions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems, including Retek, Excel, RMS, and RPM, to effectively assess stock levels.
  • Assist the Merchandiser in updating and maintaining the WSSI and providing tailored FP analysis for buyers.

About You

We are looking for a highly organized, methodical, and efficient individual with experience at an Assistant Merchandiser level. You will be highly numerate and analytical, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a team player with high attention to detail and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
