National Grid's Apprenticeship programme offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a High Voltage Craftsperson Apprentice, you'll contribute to the delivery of heat, light, and power for homes and businesses across the Midlands, Southwest England, and South Wales.

Our minimum entry criteria require GCSE qualifications in English, Maths, and Science, as well as two other GCSEs or Level 2 qualifications. If you have a recognized Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering, you may still be eligible to apply.

Salary and Benefits">

We offer a competitive starting salary of £17,649, increasing to £23,366 in Year 2 and £30,956 in Year 2.5. You'll also receive:

  • 23 days annual leave (26 upon completion of training) + statutory holidays
  • Competitive pension scheme (Double matched up to 12%) and Sharesave options
  • Earn whilst you learn and receive a fully funded qualification
