A challenging opportunity has arisen for an NDT Technician within a leading Aerospace and Defence manufacturer in North Devon. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for processing and inspecting products in accordance with engineering technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and calibrating equipment, conducting tests, and interpreting results in accordance with procedures and Quality Acceptance Standards.
  • Providing guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel.
  • Liaising with the NDT Team leader on audit findings and improvement proposals.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within NDT, welding, Aerospace Castings/welds, and the knowledge to ensure compliance with governing drawings/specifications. They will also be familiar with codes, standards, specifications, and other contractual documents that control the methods used and translate them into practical testing instructions adapted to actual working conditions.

Requirements:
  • Experience in NDT is highly desirable; however, if no direct experience within NDT, foundry & welding experience is transferable.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings/specifications.
  • Good level of computer literacy.

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
