Systems Mathematical Modeler Role

We are seeking a skilled Systems Mathematical & Simulation Modeller to join our radar product team, providing opportunities for career growth and skill development within Maritime Services and the wider company.
Salary and BenefitsThis role offers a competitive salary of approximately £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Additionally, you will receive benefits including a pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance, and access to flexible working arrangements.
Job Responsibilities- Develop mathematical models and simulation solutions to meet complex system requirements.
- Utilise mathematical modelling and simulation to enhance performance and develop novel solutions.
- Support multi-disciplined engineering teams in the realisation and implementation of algorithmic and design solutions.
- Conduct system performance analysis and trade-offs to characterise and define system design constraints and limitations.
- Undertake system performance analysis of integration and post-trials data to inform radar systems design solutions.
- Apply Systems Engineering principles to design and develop solutions and resolve engineering issues.
- A strong mathematical and engineering mindset with an innovative approach to problem-solving.
- Experience of mathematical simulation tools/languages (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, Python).
- An understanding of factors affecting real-world performance of radar systems.
- Further education or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM discipline.
