About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Harbour Hotel Bristol. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective service
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to achieve kitchen targets and goals
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to enhance the dining experience
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie
  • Proven track record of achieving kitchen targets and goals
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene legislation, including kitchen risk assessments
