Role Overview

This position is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Field Studies Council as an Environmental Educator. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering curriculum-linked activities that foster students' understanding of nature and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and deliver courses in outdoor teaching sites to students on science and geography school trips, ensuring the health and safety of the group.
  • Work with primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities to deliver environmental education programs that promote sustainability and conservation.
  • Contribute to the development of new programs and initiatives that align with the Field Studies Council's mission and goals.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, such as environmental science, biology, or education.
  • Previous experience in teaching or tutoring, with a focus on environmental education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
