Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing dedicated mental health support to patients in their community.

Main Duties

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing triage, assessment, and mental health advice to patients presenting at their GP surgery
  • Supporting primary care in offering enhanced support to patients with mental health conditions
  • Facilitating early intervention, supporting recovery, and helping patients to live well in their community

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Current professional registration: Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist
  • Community experience in mental health services for adults or older age adults with severe / significant / enduring mental illness
  • Experience of providing a range of evidence-based interventions to people with a variety of mental health problems and serious mental illness
