Your primary responsibility will be to manage a team of Field Service engineers, ensuring they provide exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of UPS Field Service engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance targets.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and expectations.
* Promote a culture of service excellence, encouraging team members to strive for continuous improvement.
* Provide technical guidance and support to customers, field engineers, and other teams as needed.
* Take ownership of ECO situations, driving for successful closure and ensuring minimal disruption to customers.
* Develop and maintain technical reports, including customer RCA and incident investigation reporting.
* Participate in the UPS Duty Manager rota, providing managerial support outside of regular working hours.
* Ensure UPS callout rotas are correctly staffed and supported throughout the year.
* Oversee team training requirements, updating the training, experience, and grading matrix as necessary.
* Evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to help team members achieve their full potential.
* Identify opportunities for equipment, maintenance contracts, and replacement UPS, battery, and capacitor sales.
* Supervise calibration and PAT testing programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Identify and evaluate necessary tooling, PPE, and test equipment requirements for the team.
* Respond to requests for assistance in a professional and timely manner.
* Manage team engineering accreditations and renewals, ensuring all necessary certifications are up to date.
* Complete all necessary administration documents, including timesheets and expenses, in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements:

* 5 years' experience as a UPS Field Service engineer.
* 10 years in the Electrical/Electronic Industry or similar.
* Strong focus on customer satisfaction and long-term customer relation building.
* HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Self-motivated and capable of operating with minimal supervision.
* Ability to successfully interface with various departments and personnel in potentially stressful situations.
* Recognized team leader and strong communicator.
