Job Overview:

As a Technical Manager at Vertiv, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our customers. You will be responsible for managing a team of Field Service engineers, providing technical guidance and support, and driving service excellence across the customer base.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Field Service engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers, Field Service engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and address service delivery issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures and guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience as a UPS Field Service engineer.
  • 10 years in the Electrical/Electronic Industry or similar.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and long-term customer relation building.
  • HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to successfully interface with various departments and personnel in potentially stressful situations.
  • A recognized team leader and strong communicator.
