We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at Derbyshire County Council. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents to lead dignified lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individuals with personal care, domestic tasks, medication, and health-related activities in line with agreed care plans.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
- Assist residents in maintaining their independence by supporting them with daily tasks and activities.
- Complete accurate and timely records of care plans, reviews, and admissions.
- Liaise with colleagues, other agencies, and families/carers to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience of caring for others, either in a work-based, voluntary, or personal capacity.
- Understanding and empathy with the needs of vulnerable people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse range of clients.
- Ability to follow routines, carry out set care plans, and record changes in individual condition.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
