Job Opportunity: Associate Lecturer A

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Lecturer A to join our team at Birkbeck University of London.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, teaching, administration, and assessment of the Level 5 Psychological and Developmental Issues in Childhood module from the BA Psychology for Education programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality teaching materials and assessments for the module.
  • Lead classes and engage with students to promote their learning and understanding.
  • Administer and assess coursework and exams for the module.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students on their progress and development.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Psychology and relevant teaching experience, working with adult students within the HE sector. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of childhood experience and mental health, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Postgraduate degree/s in a relevant area.
  • Professional experience in Educational/Developmental/Clinical Psychology and/or working with children in a mental health context.
  • Teaching qualification.
