Counselling Associate Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Lecturer to join our team at Birkbeck University of London.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled counsellor to teach and lead undergraduate modules in psychosocial understandings and reflective practice, as well as psychodynamic thinking and helping practice.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and lead experiential groups in psychosocial understandings and reflective practice
- Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials and resources
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A secure knowledge of and training in psychodynamic counselling
- Current therapeutic practice experience
- Experience of teaching in higher education, ideally in a similar field
- Confidence in leading experiential groups
- Awareness of and ability to attend to the needs of mature learners
