Rare opportunity to join our Long Covid team, providing holistic specialist assessment and intervention within the clinics.



About the Role


  • Work with patients presenting with a wide range of Long Covid related symptoms.
  • Be an advocate for patient empowerment and promote a rehabilitation ethos.
  • Support the case management process by providing expert clinical advice and therapy.
  • Assist senior staff in the education and supervision of junior colleagues.

Requirements


  • UK Health Professions Council registered (HCPC, NMC) Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist/Nurse with education to degree level or equivalent.
  • Post graduate training or equivalent experience.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.



Key Responsibilities

To provide highly specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention within the long covid clinics. This includes working with patients presenting with a wide range of Long Covid related symptoms, including but not limited to fatigue, breathlessness, cough, cognitive impairment, joint and muscle pain, neurological symptoms, cardiac symptoms, mental health symptoms, changes to taste and smell, ENT and gastro symptoms.
