About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Governance Associate to join our team at Goldman Sachs. As a key member of our Risk Data Governance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the adoption of our firmwide data governance framework across the division.
  • Manage initiatives to improve data quality and governance.
  • Interface with project teams to define objectives, develop approaches, and create detailed schedules.
  • Document data lineage from source to reporting and ensure effective controls are in place.
  • Work with data consumers and producers to negotiate ownership of data.
  • Develop communication and reference materials to enable data governance policy implementation.
  • Define and create data validation controls.
  • Provide data quality analytics to drive remediation efforts.
  • Partner with users to provide feedback on strategic tooling.
  • Build consensus across senior stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience.
  • Highly organized with project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proactive and collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in data governance or data management.
  • Prior experience in financial services industry in Regulatory Reporting.
  • Good understanding of data usage in one or more business areas.
