About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Town Planner to join our thriving Town Planning team at Carrington West. This fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape a diverse range of projects, with a particular focus on the South East, London, and the Midlands.

Job Description:
  • Oversee and lead the planning process for a range of projects, including residential, commercial, mixed-use developments, and renewable energy initiatives.
  • Act as a primary client liaison, ensuring projects meet client goals, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance on complex planning issues, with an emphasis on urban regeneration, sustainable development, and innovative land use.
  • Mentor and support the current Senior Town Planner, fostering professional growth and ensuring the highest standards of service.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists, to deliver well-rounded planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the planning process for a range of projects, including residential, commercial, mixed-use developments, and renewable energy initiatives.
  2. Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely delivery.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop business growth strategies.
  4. Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
  5. Stay up-to-date with relevant planning policies, legislation, and best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a senior town planning role, ideally with exposure to the SE, London, and Midlands markets.
  • A track record of successfully managing a variety of planning applications across residential, commercial, and renewable sectors.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK planning legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
