About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Youth Justice Service Officer to join our team in Redbridge. As an Advanced Youth Offending Service Officer, you will play a vital role in managing youth justice cases, providing support to children and young people, and working collaboratively with families and partner agencies. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for young people.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain effective relationships with children and young people, their families, and relevant partners.
  2. Contribute to the development and implementation of youth justice policies and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with partner agencies to deliver comprehensive support services to children and young people.
  4. Provide regular updates and progress reports to the courts and other stakeholders.
  5. Represent the service at meetings and forums as required.
Requirements:
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience of working in a youth justice setting or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Knowledge of youth justice policies and procedures.
  • Experience of working with young people who have complex needs.
