Job Title: Physiotherapist Functional Assessor

We are seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. This is a unique opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with a focus on providing high-quality assessments to individuals with disabilities or conditions.

About the Role

As a Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing individuals and determining how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life. You will draw on your clinical expertise to conduct thorough assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations. Your reports will be used by the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to determine eligibility for benefits.

You will work with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video, demonstrating sensitivity, compassion, and best practice standards. We are committed to providing a supportive environment, with opportunities for continuous professional development and career growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals with disabilities or conditions
  • Take medical histories and perform physical examinations
  • Produce concise, accurate reports for the DWP
  • Work with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video
  • Demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, and best practice standards
Requirements
  • Qualified Physiotherapist with a strong clinical background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) present on CV
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
  • IT skills and experience of using a range of software
