Job Title: Complex Needs Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Support Worker to join our team at Engage Partners. As a Complex Needs Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex learning difficulties, including those with profound, severe, and complex learning disabilities.

About the Role:

As a Complex Needs Support Worker, you will work closely with the teaching team to create opportunities for children to learn and develop in a safe and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children with eating and drinking, including learning how to use different equipment and techniques.
  • Assisting with personal care, ensuring the children's hygiene needs are met safely and with dignity.
  • Supporting powered mobility, including learning to use powered wheelchairs and other equipment safely.
  • Manual handling, including learning to use equipment to support children while keeping them and yourself safe.
  • Safeguarding, including understanding the importance of safeguarding for children with disabilities.
About You:

We are looking for a candidate who is empathetic, adaptable, and resilient, with a passion for supporting children with complex needs. You will be reliable, proactive, and able to work as part of a supportive team environment. An understanding of Makaton and manual handling is preferable but not necessary.
