Job Title: Homelessness Support Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Homelessness Support Coordinator. As a key member of our Non-Residential team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are experiencing homelessness in Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct intensive assessments to identify clients' support and housing needs
  • Advocate for clients and help them access the services they need
  • Work closely with partner agencies to provide comprehensive support
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to address clients' needs
  • Provide a telephone advice service during working hours
  • Assist with building upkeep and maintenance
  • Support volunteers with receiving and sorting donations
  • Ensure clients are fed by preparing donated food items or making sandwiches
  • Attend events as a positive ambassador for St Petrocs
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults
  • Knowledge and appreciation of the complex issues surrounding homelessness
  • Commitment to our services and the people we serve
  • Able to follow processes and maintain high standards
  • Comfortable working independently and under pressure
  • Able to manage conflict and challenging behaviour
  • Able to relate to and motivate disadvantaged individuals
