Key Responsibilities
  • To provide comprehensive assessments for children and young people with disabilities, taking into account their individual needs and goals.
  • To deliver occupational therapy services in a variety of settings, including children's homes, educational settings, and respite placements.
  • Liaise with colleagues to complete comprehensive assessments and care management plans for children with disabilities.
  • To conduct manual handling risk assessments and implement safer handling practices to prevent injuries.
  • To consider the least restrictive intervention options that promote independence and minimize the impact of disability.
  • To ensure that service delivery is child-centered and takes into account the wishes and feelings of the child and young person.
