Food Laboratory Operations Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team at Workingmums. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out laboratory analysis in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Operate and continuously improve departmental control systems, including safety, quality, environment, and cost management, to achieve World Class standards of operations.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in optimum condition through autonomous maintenance and 5S tasks, ensuring optimal performance and sustainability.
- Work within local hygiene, health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices, including HACCP, COSHH, BRC, FEMAS, and Safety the Molson Coors way, and maintain personal legislative training compliance.
- Review and continuously improve performance management standards and systems, actively engaging with communication processes to share outputs with colleagues, peers, and management groups.
Requirements
- Significant experience working in a laboratory environment in a food/drink manufacturing setting, with a strong emphasis on chemistry.
- Effective communication skills to work with teams on other shifts through logbooks and daily handover meetings, and facilitate meetings and team-based project groups.
- Detailed knowledge of SAP and ability to plan, coordinate, and improve work done by the team, achieving World Class Supply Chain validation.
