Quality Control Laboratory Analyst

About the Role
The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Laboratory Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the Quality Control Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials and finished products in line with Good Laboratory Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, and Marketing Authorisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical and analytical work to the satisfaction of the Pharmacy Quality Control Laboratory Manager.
- Carry out the testing of raw materials, packaging components, pharmaceutical specials, product licensed items, and items under development.
- Confirm that quality control operations are performed in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, Marketing Authorisations, and Licences held.
- Assure that the manufactured medicinal products are fit for their intended use, comply with the requirements of the marketing authorisation, and do not place patients at risk in terms of safety, quality, or efficacy.
Requirements
- BTEC, NVQ3, or City & Guilds in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Science or another relevant subject.
- Experience working within a testing laboratory (chemistry, micro, food).
- Experience in a role following SOPs, carrying out basic calculations, using computers for word processing and spreadsheets.
