Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Specialist to enhance our technical team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with chromatography and ThermoMass technologies, and a passion for maintaining and optimizing advanced instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for Laboratory equipment breakdowns, ensuring all critical science and operations are protected.
  • Collaborate with key equipment users, the wider engineering team, and suppliers to ensure that all key laboratory instrument platforms are operationally functional to support the customers' science needs.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot chromatography systems and ThermoMass analysers.
  • Perform routine calibrations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on instrumentation.
  • Analyse data and generate detailed reports to support ongoing projects and client needs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to optimize system performance and address any technical issues.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as required.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in instrumentation technology.
Requirements
  • Experience in maintaining scientific laboratory instrumentation or automation technologies.
  • Pharmaceutical or regulated working background.
  • Previous experience of working in multidisciplinary customer-facing teams.
  • Advanced technical skills in the field of expertise or experience of servicing scientific equipment.
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovative solutions.
  • Good understanding of device networking and communications protocols.
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft tools skills.
