Performance Sales Manager

This is a key role within the UK finance team, responsible for producing and analysing high-quality performance management and client financial information. The successful candidate will utilise sales and client deal pipeline data to inform our financial outlook across our product set and highlight trends and opportunities for business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Support the business with financial analysis and commercial insight into performance across segments and platforms, providing financial commentary on performance and presenting regular performance reports to senior leaders.
- Drive, influence and implement business sales strategy using financial and non-financial insight, providing thought leadership to the UK Private team.
- Support on the creation of core financial reports, including Weekly Sales Packs, Monthly Sales Management Report, Quarterly Business reviews, and Monthly Management forums.
- Support Business and Product heads with reviewing monthly outlook, considering pipeline deals and outflow rates.
- Support Team Leaders in carrying out client book reviews with Private Bankers, providing detailed book review packs and agreeing clear objectives and actions to improve performance.
- Support bankers in creating client plans and maintaining momentum through delivery against agreed actions.
- Support business and product heads with analysis on bankers' books and product mix, projecting into KPIs based on current pipeline and actuals.
- Engage with bankers/team leaders to understand pipeline deals, transaction stages, next steps, and identify opportunities for senior management support.
- Support the Sales Management Director in developing and implementing client acquisition/prospecting strategy for Private Bank UKPB.
- Provide ideas on new sales initiatives, implement sales initiatives, and track performance, recommending next steps as applicable.
- Excel and PowerPoint skills, with capabilities in data manipulation, visualisation, reporting, and presenting to senior audiences.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with regulated products and services for high net worth clients and/or asset management.
- Commercial mindset with a deep interest in performance drivers.
- Confident and comfortable presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders to drive performance.

To provide financial expertise and support to specific business units or departments within the organisation, and act as a liaison between the finance function and various business units, helping to bridge the gap between financial data and business decisions.
Accountabilities- Development and implementation of business unit financial strategies, plans and budgets, using insights to evaluate the financial implications of strategic initiatives and recommend appropriate actions.
- Development of financial models to forecast future performance, assess investment opportunities, and evaluate financial risks for business units, and to analyse the impact of business decisions on financial performance and provision of recommendations.
- Cross functional collaboration to provide financial insights and guidance to business unit stakeholders.
- Identification of opportunities and implementation of financial process improvements that streamline financial operations.
- Support to business units in identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, including provision of training and guidance to business units on financial risk management and compliance practices.
- Analysis and presentation of financial data to provide insights into business performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
- Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
- Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practices (in other areas, teams, companies, etc.) to solve problems creatively and effectively.
