Education Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Hinckley area. As a key member of the classroom staff, you will provide vital support to students with learning activities, assisting teachers with lesson planning, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students, supporting them with their educational needs and helping them to reach their full potential. With our bookings ranging from 8:30-3:30, you will have control over your diary, allowing you to work the days that suit you best.
Teaching Personnel is committed to providing our educators with unrivalled support and opportunities, including free child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undergo a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, with full assistance provided.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths, as well as previous experience working with children or young people. A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and additional SEN training or qualifications are also preferred.
We offer a competitive salary of £12.00 per hour, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay, for this temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teaching staff in the classroom
- Support students with learning activities
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs
- Assist with behaviour management in the classroom
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
- Additional SEN training or qualifications (preferred)
