Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join our team at Aspire People. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to plan and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for children aged 7-11 with Special Educational Needs in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment with a dedicated team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience teaching in a UK primary school setting with a focus on SEN teaching.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to children with a range of SEN.
- Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to plan and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Provide regular assessments and feedback on student progress to parents and the wider school team.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and personal development.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
**Essential Criteria:**
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching in a UK primary school setting, with a focus on SEN teaching.
- Current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of the needs of children with SEN, including strategies for differentiation and support.
- Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
**Salary:** £28,000 - £35,000 per annum.
