Job Overview

Masonite is a leading door category leader in the UK, combining four door manufacturing brands under one roof. As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in creating an efficient and achievable production plan that meets customer requirements and supports the company's strategic business goals.

You will work closely with the purchasing department to ensure raw materials are available to support the plan. Your main responsibilities include reviewing and updating inventory levels, creating production schedules, and monitoring finished goods inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update minimal inventory and re-order parameters to ensure optimal finished goods levels.
  • Create a production plan that meets customer requirements, both internally and externally.
  • Support the Production Planning Manager/Department regarding all aspects of Production Planning.
  • Work closely with the planning and materials manager and other departments to produce daily production planning schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain finished goods inventory levels in accordance with set targets.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a production planning environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel, and the ability to adapt to new systems/packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with people at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
