Railway Maintenance Technician

About the Role
As a Railway Maintenance Technician at Network Rail, you will play a vital role in ensuring the daily upkeep of the rail network. This is a critical part of our work, and you will be working outdoors in a team to support essential maintenance tasks.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work outdoors in all conditions, at all times of the year, day or night
- Be involved in demanding manual work, often with the need to transport kit across tricky terrain
- Be safety-focused, respectful of rules, and a team player, working next to moving trains travelling at high speed

- A natural team player who can lead the team when asked by the team leader
- Someone who can use their skills to deliver work safely and check the team has the right competencies to meet our strict safety standards
- A role model for safe working behaviours and confident to challenge any potential risks to safety

About You
We're looking for someone who is willing to learn, develop their skills and competencies relevant to their discipline, and keep up to date with new standards, procedures, and instructions. You will ideally hold an NVQ Level 1 or 2 linked to the discipline you are applying for, or have achieved an equivalent level of relevant experience.
