About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Technician to join our team at Network Rail. As a Technician, you will play a vital role in the daily upkeep of the rail network, working outdoors in all conditions to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our railway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to maintain and repair Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) and other railway infrastructure
  • Conduct inspections and fault-finding to identify and resolve issues
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work to ensure the safety of yourself and others
  • Collaborate with team leaders and other colleagues to deliver work safely and efficiently
  • Continuously develop your skills and competencies to stay up-to-date with new standards, procedures, and instructions

Requirements

  • Leadership skills to motivate and direct a team for safe and efficient work delivery
  • Effective communication skills to deliver clear instructions to the team and other colleagues
  • Technical skills in inspection, fault-finding, maintenance, and renewal techniques
  • Safety-focused with a strong commitment to safe working practices
  • Problem-solving skills to find safe and effective solutions
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills and competencies
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent level of experience
