As a Network Rail Technician, you will play a vital role in the daily upkeep of the rail network. This is a critical part of the work we do, and you will be working outdoors in a team to support essential maintenance.

About the Role

You will be responsible for working with Overhead Line Equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the railway. This will involve manual work, often in challenging conditions, and you will need to be safety-focused and respectful of rules.

Your Skills Matter

We are looking for individuals with leadership skills, who can motivate and direct a team for safe and efficient work delivery. You will also need to be an effective communicator, able to deliver clear instructions to the team and other colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership: You will be able to lead, motivate and direct a team for safe and efficient work delivery.

Effective Communication: You will need strong communication skills and be able to deliver clear instructions to the team and other colleagues.

Technical Skills: You will have knowledge and experience of inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal techniques in the discipline that you are applying for.

Safety: You consistently role model safe behaviours, can arrange and implement safe systems of work, and are confident to challenge if you think a situation is unsafe.
