Job Summary:

Bis Henderson Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our client's team in a busy distribution centre. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of warehouse colleagues to achieve operational efficiency and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Motivate, coach and develop a team of warehouse colleagues to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional results.
  • Operational Efficiency: Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, identify areas for improvement and implement changes to maximize efficiency.
  • Shift Handover: Deliver an effective shift handover to the next team to ensure seamless continuity and minimize disruptions.
  • KPI Management: Maintain set KPIs and report the status to the Shift Manager to ensure the team is meeting its targets.
  • Health and Safety: Drive best Health and Safety practice and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Process Improvement: Review and develop warehouse practices to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Previous supervisory experience and able to lead, develop and discipline a team.
  • Warehouse Management: Sound knowledge of warehouse management systems and previous experience from within a distribution environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Cost Management: Thorough understanding of cost management and reporting.
