About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at Sodexo, a leading provider of food and facilities management services. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for planning and executing the pastry section, preparing and serving high-quality desserts and pastries to our clients in London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute the pastry section, ensuring high-quality desserts and pastries are prepared and served to our clients.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu items and recipes.
  • Ensure all food produced in the pastry section adheres to HACCP and Sodexo standards.
  • Manage the pastry team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Front of House team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen and related areas.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in contract catering for hotels.
  • Good interpersonal skills, enabling excellent relations with customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Exhibits characteristics of Service Spirit, Team Spirit, and Spirit of Progress.
  • Willingness to receive, understand, and implement Sodexo and client training.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing to an excellent standard.
  • Identifies and communicates potential problems to the Head Chef.
  • Ability to organize oneself and prioritize tasks and work alone.
  • Ability to complete math to a reasonable standard.
  • Displays a passion for food and customer service.
