Clinical Fellow Position

We are pleased to offer a Clinical Fellow position in Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Disorders at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the management of complex pelvic floor disorders, including those requiring surgical intervention.

About the Role

This six-month fellowship (extendable to 12 months) offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in pelvic floor surgery, working closely with experienced surgeons and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in the management of complex pelvic floor disorders, under the supervision of senior staff.
  • To participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • To maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong understanding of pelvic floor anatomy and physiology, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements and Benefits

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • GMC registration.
  • MRCS/FRCS/ARCS as per JCHST requirements.
  • Relevant post-registration experience.

Prior experience at Registrar level is highly desirable.

The estimated annual salary for this role is £54,000 - £78,000, depending on experience. The position also offers a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, access to professional development opportunities, and a generous pension scheme.
