About the Fellowship

The Colorectal Fellowship at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust offers an exciting opportunity for a talented surgeon to gain expertise in pelvic floor surgery and management of complex cases. The fellowship is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, working alongside experienced surgeons and healthcare professionals.

This is a six-month attachment, with the possibility to extend to 12 months, providing ample time to develop your skills and knowledge. You will be exposed to a wide range of pelvic floor surgeries, including multi-compartment disorders and complications of pelvic mesh surgery.

Salary: The salary for this position is £72,000 - £98,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata) and a generous pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of pelvic floor surgeries
  • Contribute to research projects and audit initiatives

Requirements:

  • MSc or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
  • Experience in pelvic floor surgery and management of complex cases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
