Job Title: Class Teacher for SEMH Provision

**Our Mission**

At Easthorpe School, we provide high-quality education to children and young people with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). We adopt a thoughtful and informed approach for each pupil, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced teacher to join our team and contribute to the growth and development of our new Lower School provision.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons within the national curriculum, taking into account the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
  • Collaborate with the class team to facilitate learning opportunities and promote positive behaviours.
  • Monitor pupils' progress and concerns, and communicate effectively with other staff to ensure their needs are met.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils and drive interaction and positive learning outcomes.

**Essential Qualifications and Experience**

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Strong basic education to degree level.
  • Previous successful primary and SEND teaching experience.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
  • Behaviour management and techniques expertise.
  • Commitment to professional development and willingness to learn.
  • Enhanced DBS check required prior to commencing work.
