About the Role

Capgemini Engineering is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Stevenage, UK. This role involves developing and applying engineering practices and knowledge in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanically functioning equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Work as a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support the 'Assembly, Integration and Test' operational team at our client's location in Stevenage, UK.
  • Produce Technical Instructions to support the manufacturing schedule, identify production defects, and develop corresponding rework and repair methods.
  • Support quality reviews and RCAs using lean / six sigma tools, develop lessons learnt, and support PFMEA reviews to reduce non-conformance.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to understand and use complex technical feedback to iterate existing manufacturing processes.
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience (ideally green belt or higher) to support process development, implementation, monitoring, and improvement.
Requirements

We are looking for a professionally qualified engineer with a degree in Engineering or significant experience following an apprenticeship in aerospace / space industry. The ideal candidate should have high self-motivation and ability to deal with changing priorities on a multi-project basis.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
