A rewarding role has become available at Wayman Learning Trust, an inclusive SEN school in Finchley. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary SEN teacher to join our team.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in primary teaching and a passion for supporting students with special educational needs. A commitment to inclusive education is essential, along with the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
In this dynamic and supportive environment, you will work closely with a team of SEN professionals to provide individualized support to each child. The successful candidate will be able to create a nurturing and engaging classroom atmosphere where students feel valued, encouraged, and motivated to participate actively in their learning.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student
- Work closely with support staff and therapists to tailor learning strategies and provide cohesive support to each child
- Monitor and assess each student's progress, adapting approaches as needed, and maintaining open communication with parents and SEN specialists
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in primary teaching, with prior exposure to SEN settings advantageous
- A commitment to inclusive education and a proactive approach to student engagement
- Patience, empathy, and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A current and clear Enhanced DBS check
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including continuous professional development opportunities and a supportive working environment.
