About the Role
The Independent End Point Assessor will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of end-point assessments for Mammography Associate apprentices. This is a key position that requires a high level of expertise and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-point assessments for Mammography Associate apprentices, ensuring that they meet the required standards and criteria.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Mammography Associate apprenticeship standard, assessment plan, and specification.
- Assess and report on the performance of apprentices, providing clear and concise feedback.
- Collaborate with Pearson's quality assurance team to ensure that end-point assessments are conducted in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Participate in regular training and standardization activities to maintain and enhance assessment skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of assessment materials and tools.
- Engage with employers and providers to ensure that end-point assessments are conducted in a fair and unbiased manner.
Requirements
- Occupational competence in the mammography sector.
- HCPC registration.
- Current employment in the NHS Breast Screening Programme.
- Accreditation or holding a PG Cert in education or equivalent.
- Current DBS certificate.
- Assessor qualification.
- Experience of leading meetings, structured interviews, and discussions.
- Experience of complying with quality assurance and regulatory requirements.
- Evidence of commitment to maintaining CPD, in line with new apprenticeship requirements and the EPA specialism.
