Independent End Point Assessor for Mammography Associate

About the Role
The independent end-point assessor will be responsible for conducting end-point assessments of apprentices in the mammography associate occupation. This role requires a qualified assessor with experience in the mammography sector and a good understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-point assessments of apprentices in accordance with published assessment and grading criteria and procedures.
- Maintain and provide evidence of ongoing, relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
- Assess the performance of candidates and ensure overall standards are maintained.
- Follow the protocols set out in Pearson's specifications, assessment materials, and quality assurance protocols.
- Report all risks and issues encountered during the end-point assessment to Pearson.
Requirements
- Occupational competence in the mammography sector.
- HCPC registration.
- Current employment in the NHS Breast Screening Programme.
- Accreditation or holding a PG Cert in education or equivalent.
- Current DBS certificate.
- Assessor qualification.
- Experience of leading meetings/structured interviews/discussions.
- Experience of complying with quality assurance/regulatory requirements.
