Elderly Care Physician Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Elderly Care Physician Specialist to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Elderly Care department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of innovative models of care for frail elderly people in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Manage patients admitted to the Elderly Care ward, including those requiring acute frailty assessment and management.
- Participate in the Acute Frailty On-call service, working closely with other consultants to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement new pathways of care for frail elderly people in the community, in collaboration with Medway ICB and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the teaching, research, and governance programs within the department, including participation in clinical trials and quality improvement initiatives.
- Full registration with the GMC and a Licence to practice.
- On Specialist Register for Geriatrics/General Medicine or applying for CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration).
- UK-based experience in Geriatrics at middle grade level or above, with CCT or equivalent in Elderly Care and General Medicine or within 6 months of CCT date at time of interview.
