Locum Consultant Physician in Elderly Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Physician in Elderly Care to join our dynamic team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Elderly Care department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of innovative care pathways.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the management of patients admitted to the Elderly Care ward, ensuring timely and effective care.
- Participate in the Acute Frailty On-call service, working closely with other Consultants to provide 24/7 coverage.
- Develop and implement new models of care for frail elderly patients in the community, in collaboration with community teams.
- Contribute to the teaching, research, and governance programs within the department, promoting excellence in patient care and clinical practice.
- MRCP or equivalent qualification.
- Appropriate higher degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent).
- GMC registration with a Licence to practice.
- On Specialist Register for Geriatrics/General Medicine or applying for CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration).
- UK-based experience in Geriatrics at middle grade level or above.
- CCT or equivalent in Elderly Care and General Medicine or within 6 months of CCT date at time of interview.
