Job Summary

We are seeking a positive, energetic, and creative teaching assistant with a love of teaching and learning to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in special needs and be able to work in partnership with their class teacher.

The successful candidate will have experience in positively managing behaviour and be able to work with students with autism and/or severe learning difficulties. We offer a well-resourced classroom environment, high-quality professional development opportunities, and excellent partnerships between pupils, staff, and parents.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and education of our children and expect all our staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check and references will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEN in a full-time teaching assistant role
  • Work in partnership with the class teacher to deliver high-quality education
  • Manage behaviour positively and create a calm and purposeful learning environment
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and learning
Requirements
  • Experience in teaching or supporting students with SEN
  • Ability to work in partnership with the class teacher
  • Positive behaviour management skills
