Job Overview

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lifestyle Activities Coordinator to join our team at Brook House Care Home in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating and organizing engaging activities and a lifestyle program that enriches the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a lifestyle program that caters to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, promoting social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
  • Collaborate with our care team, family members, and residents to understand their preferences and create activities that meet their individual needs and goals.
  • Establish partnerships with local community organizations, schools, colleges, and churches to provide opportunities for residents to engage with their community.
  • Plan and coordinate days out, outings, and events that promote socialization, learning, and enjoyment.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the lifestyle program, making adjustments as needed to ensure it meets the evolving needs of our residents.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role or a caring environment, with a passion for creating meaningful experiences for older adults.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • A genuine desire to improve the lives of older adults and make a positive impact on their well-being.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
