Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Smallfield, Surrey. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students while developing your skills and expertise as an educator.

Responsibilities:

• Establish positive relationships with students to promote a sense of safety and well-being
• Encourage independence and personal development in students
• Support the Class Teacher in planning, implementing, and assessing student learning
• Respond to changing situations and adapt to meet the needs of the school
• Provide physical support to students when required, with full training provided

Requirements:

• GCSE Maths and English qualification at minimum Level 3/Grade C or equivalent
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Experience working in a special school environment (highly desirable)
• Team TEACH Training (desirable)
