Hardware Product Development Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Hardware Product Development Specialist to join our team at Supersmith. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing our innovative 3-wheeled mobility scooter.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and refine designs for a lightweight, foldable, self-balancing 3-wheeled mobility scooter. You will work closely with our internal team members to integrate various aspects of the product design, applying design for manufacturing principles to ensure design output is production-ready.
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from concept design to final product launch, and will be expected to deliver high-quality results in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design engineering, preferably in hardware product development, and experience with CAD software, FEA, stress analysis, and tolerance stack calculations.
This is an on-site position in a shared office and workshop space, with opportunities for hands-on prototype work and collaboration with a talented team of engineers. The salary for this role is estimated at £42,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
