This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Plastic Surgery and Burns Coordinator at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the coordination and management of paediatric patients who are being treated under the plastic surgery and burns teams.
Main Responsibilities- Manage paediatric burns and plastics trauma clinics 7 days a week as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Assess paediatric patients referred via the TRIPS system and prioritise patients being seen in hospital for their burn injury, while also supporting referrers with burns care.
- Ensure that all safeguarding referrals are submitted by the plastics and burns medical team or referring hospital.
- Coordinate paediatric burns and plastics trauma patients needing to be booked for surgery through the Stoke Mandeville Trauma list.
- Contribute to and coordinate weekend clinics for Paediatric Burns and Plastics Trauma.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in paediatric nursing and burns care. The ideal candidate will have:
- A nursing degree certificate and current registration with the NMC.
- Maths and English GCSE qualifications (or equivalent).
- Registered Paediatric Nurse to degree level or equivalent.
- Registered adult (burns) nurse with paediatric competencies.
Desirable criteria include further education in burns or plastic surgery, experience within theatre, and the ability to use systems such as TRIPs and Careflow.
Core SkillsThe successful candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong commitment to patient care and a desire to drive service improvements.
