Job Title: Specialist Doctor in Paediatrics

We are seeking a highly experienced Specialist Doctor to join our team of paediatricians in Buckinghamshire. As a Specialist Doctor in Paediatrics, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people with a range of medical conditions.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing community paediatric services to children, young people, and their families. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing paediatric referral clinics in the community
  • Conducting statutory assessments and initial and review health assessments for children looked after
  • Working closely with schools and other CYP multi-disciplinary professionals
  • Participating in assessing referrals and liaising with health visitors, school nurses, speech and language therapists, physiotherapy, and occupational therapists
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full registration with the GMC, including a License to Practice
  • Be on the Specialist Register (or within six months of obtaining their Certificate of Completion of Training)
  • Experience of working with children with special needs
  • Experience of undertaking medical assessments of children in care
  • Experience of assessing children suspected to have autism or ADHD
  • Experience of working with child protection cases
