Deputy Head of Internal Audit

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership in the role of Deputy Head of Internal Audit. As a key member of the Audit & Assurance team, you will be responsible for providing a professional internal audit service to a number of NHS organisations in South Wales.
Main Duties- Responsibility for the operational provision of an Internal Audit service to a number of NHS organisations based in South Wales.
- Formulation of strategic and operational plans based on an 'Audit Needs Assessment/Risk Assessment.'
- Support the production of an Audit Plan linked to the organisations' Risk Management and Assurance Frameworks.
- Preparation of complex information and progress reports for inclusion within the Audit Committee Agendas.
- Attendance at Audit Committees to present audit reports.
- Management of the team's delivery against planned commitments and monitoring of quality and performance against agreed key performance indicators.
