About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Academic English to join our team at Dibden Park School in Southampton. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the English department and driving academic excellence across the school.

As Head of Academic English, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing English curriculum and policies that align with the school's vision and goals
  • Leading and managing the English department, including staff development and performance management
  • Ensuring high-quality teaching and learning in English across all key stages
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum
  • Monitoring and evaluating student progress and achievement in English

You will be a highly skilled and experienced English teacher with a passion for academic excellence. You will have a proven track record of leading and managing teams, developing curriculum and policies, and driving student achievement.

About Our School

Dibden Park School is a brand-new school based in Southampton that opened in September 2023. We are a specialist SEN provision that provides education and care to students with social and emotional mental health and other complex needs.
