We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Health Visitor to join our team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and families in our community.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme, working closely with families and other healthcare professionals to identify and address health needs. You will also be involved in planning, delivering, and evaluating an efficient and cost-effective service for an identified population.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

As a Health Visitor, you will be responsible for preventing ill health and promoting positive holistic healthcare for an identified population and community. You will work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to identify and address health needs, and provide evidence-based care to children, young people, and families.

Person Specification
  • First-level registered nurse/midwife
  • Specialist practitioner (Hons, B. Sc. Hons, Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing or equivalent)
  • Must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle to meet the service needs
Desirable Criteria
  • Nurse prescriber
  • Recognised teaching qualification
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience
Desirable Criteria
  • Evidence of participating on a service development change
